Algorithms - A step-by-step problem-solving procedure, especially an established, recursive computational procedure for solving a problem in a finite number of steps.

Pseudocode- a program code unrelated to the hardware of a particular computer and requiring conversion to the code used by the computer before the program can be used.

Machine Language-A set of instructions for a specific central processing unit, designed to be usable by a computer without being translated.

High Level Computer Language- With this program you are able to run a particular program (c) in basically any computer.This is a key advantage of using a so-called "high-level" language - it can be automatically translated or "compiled" into a form which can be executed on practically any computer.

Flowchart- This is also called flow sheet. a detailed diagram or chart of the operations and equipment through which material passes, as in a manufacturing process.


The flowchart symbols used for ;
Beginning and ending a set of instructions - Terminators show the start and stop points in a process. Its a Oblong shape.

Decision making – for decision making the symbol is a Diamond sort of shape.( Indicates a question or branch in the process flow. Typically, a Decision flowchart shape is used when there are 2 options Yes/No, No/No-Go, etc.)

A process or action – to symbolize this they use a rectangle to represent a process or action. (Show a Process or action step. This is the most common symbol in both process flowcharts and business process maps.)

this is our planning for our IST video for term 2.

Journal Entry 1

for Ist this term we are doing videos.
We have to get into a group and create our own mini movie.
In my group there is Sanea, keerthana , ananthi and Reshma.
We decided to Name our group Krazzy 5. We got this name from a movie called Krazzy 4.
In this we will all have to produce, direct and act.
So far we have come up with a movie called Ankit Joshi Must Die. This is based on the movie John Tucker Must Die.
We have decided that our friend Ankit will start of the movie. He will be near a bin with bruises and he will ask us (the audience) if we want to now how this happened.
Ankit is shown as a very popular guy in the film. He has every girl after him. All the boys want to be like him. Secretly Ankit is going out with all us 5 girls at the same time.
All the five girls in the film are best friends , but are told by ankit not to tell anyone.
One night at a sleep over. One of the girls asks the other girl in a game of truth and dare if she has a boyfriend. The girl answers with Ankit Joshi. Every one is in shock. The five girls get together and are determined to take revenge on Ankit. Thus creating the name Krazzy 5.

Journal Entry2

We have changed a few things in the film.
Ananthi is going to be a mother in the film and help us take revenge on Ankit.
This movie is a comedy genre and is meant to really make people laugh.
We also have set jobs in the film.
I am the makeup artist, director, camera person and acting.
Sanea- hair stylist, camera person and acting.
Keerthana- costumes, camera person and acting.
Ananthi- Camera person and acting.
Reshma- Acting and camera person.
Ankit- Actor.
we still have to decide what we will write in the script.

Journal Entry 3

Today, me and my group started the script. We have decided whoes house we are going to go to, the various settings and the dates.
we have made the script alomost more than half way. It is in progress. We are also discussing with people who would like to help us out with settings etc.
So far we have gotten up to the sleepover part and are discussing how to take revenge on Ankit.
Our film is a comedy genre and is suitable for all ages.
Our Gnatt chart is really helping us to help time and manage our schedules.
We have also shot one scene, but have decided not to shoot until out script and exams are over.
that's all we've done for now.

Journal Entry 4
Today, we have started to do our story board on Microsoft word from the story board template that Mr Cavill had provided us. We all started our own scenes and started to draw them. I think one problem for all of us was that it was taking a really long time. With the drawing we had to write in the camera angle/shot, whats being said, whats happening and sound/special effects.
To do this we had to wite the script first, we had done the script in the past few lessons, and were almost finished. That really helped us. We also started to decide on dates of the shooting. As we only have 3 weeks left we have to shart shooting because editing is still left.

hii....

shivangi here. Well some things about me... i love animals, my friends, family and ofcourse the computer. So,thats why at the moment im learning IST in yr 9.

So far in IST we have made our own wiki. it was awesome fun!


We all were in groups of 3-4 people and we all did different topics some being:


gif, jpegs, graphics and much more.


My gruop included two of my best friends , Sanea , keerthana and me.Our group did ours on FPS ( frames per second).


It was very interesting to know how this part of computering works.



Apart from that we have just started to learn about graphics and pictures. We are learning about how to change pictures in several ways.



Also in IST i'm making this fabtabulous blog, which will be very very very very interesting when i have finished :-).hehe.
